Introducing the Ocean Treasures Collection

One of the things I love most about living along the California coast is that no two walks on the beach are ever the same. The tide is constantly changing, and with it comes an endless collection of treasures shaped by the ocean over time.

For years, my artwork has been inspired by coastal landscapes, lifeguard towers, driftwood, sea glass, and the memories created along the shoreline. Recently, I began exploring a new artistic direction that looks at the coast through a different lens—focusing less on the landscape itself and more on the treasures the ocean leaves behind.

I am excited to introduce my new Ocean Treasures Collection.

This collection uses natural materials gathered from the coast, including sea glass, driftwood, shells, sand, seaweed, stones, and other shoreline discoveries. Rather than creating traditional coastal scenes, these pieces transform those elements into contemporary abstract works that explore texture, movement, color, balance, and the passage of time.

Each piece begins with a simple question: What story does this treasure have to tell?

Some works may focus on sea glass suspended in layers of resin, while others may highlight driftwood, shells, seaweed, or sand as the primary subject. Every material has been shaped by years of wind, water, and tide, carrying with it a unique history that becomes part of the artwork.

While this collection represents a new creative path, it remains deeply connected to the themes that have always inspired my work. Whether I am creating a lifeguard tower overlooking the beach or an abstract composition built from materials gathered at the water’s edge, my goal remains the same—to celebrate the beauty, memories, and stories found along the coast.

The Ocean Treasures Collection invites viewers to slow down, look closer, and discover the extraordinary beauty hidden within the small details that are often overlooked.

I look forward to sharing the first pieces from this collection and seeing where this creative journey leads.
